Our book for this group is Life Without Lack by Dallas Willard.

Dr. Dallas Willard was a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Southern California and an ordained minister who spoke widely in churches and Christian organisations around the world. Along with Richard Foster, he was a founding member of Renovaré. Life Without Lack is one of his most accessible and pastoral works. Centred on Psalm 23, it’s a wonderful book to begin the New Year with.

To offer flexibility, we will host groups on Thursday evenings and Friday mornings. The groups are interchangeable - if you can’t make a Thursday evening, you’re welcome to join us on Friday morning instead.

Groups start on Thursday 8th January (7.30 - 8.45pm) and Friday 9th January (9.30 - 10.45am). They will finish on 12th / 13th March 2026 (there will be a break on 29th January and 26th February)

Our Reading Group offers a welcoming space for community, meaningful conversations, and encouragement. If you’ve never joined one before, we’d love for you to come and give it a try. The groups are informal, friendly, and open to all.

It can be hard to stay with a book on your own, being part of a group can help you build a healthy reading rhythm. You’ll receive plenty of encouragement, along with the chance to learn from others on the same journey.

All sessions will be on Zoom - a link will be provided when you sign up.

1. You will need to purchase your own copy of the book
2. Group places are limited, please make sure you can attend all the sessions on either Thursdays or Fridays.
3. You will need to have read the first chapter before the first meeting and then continue this rhythm throughout the course. You will then need to read around 24 pages each week to keep up with the schedule.
4. The Reading Group is free, but we will ask for a donation towards the work of Renovaré (B&I) to cover hosting and admin.
